Chaplain Earl Smith

Earl Smith was a small-time gangster when he was shot 6 times in the head in 1975. He survived the gunshots and turned his life around, eventually becoming the Death Row chaplain at San Quentin prison. He authored¬†Death Row Chaplain:¬†Unbelievable True Stories from America’s Most Notorious Prison. Chaplain Smith is also the team pastor for The Golden State Warriors and San Francisco 49ers. He is the CEO of Project IMPACT, a fatherhood enrichment and male accountability program. He is also the founder of Project AVARY, a ministry that provides resources for children of incarcerated males.
